Brief Introduction
Dimetridazole is a C-nitro compound that is 5-nitroimidazole in which the hydrogens at positions 1 and 2 are replaced by methyl groups. An antiprotozoal drug, it has been banned by both the Government of Canada and the European Union as a livestock feed additive owing to suspicions of it being carcinogenic. It has a role as an antiprotozoal drug and an antiparasitic agent. It is a C-nitro compound and a member of imidazoles.

Brief Introduction
Sodium p-aminosalicylate is a commonly used antituberculosis drug. Its structure is similar to that of p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). It is a homologues of p-aminobenzoic acid (PABA). It inhibits the growth and reproduction of Mycobacterium tuberculosis by competitive inhibition of folic acid synthesis. This product is only effective for mycobacteria, but not for atypical mycobacteria. When used alone, Mycobacterium tuberculosis can rapidly develop drug resistance. This product must be combined with other anti tuberculosis drugs, such as streptomycin and isoniazid, which can delay the generation of drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to the latter two. It is mainly used for pulmonary and extrapulmonary tuberculosis caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is also used for hyperthyroidism and has a strong effect on lowering blood lipids.
