2-[[(5S)-2-oxo-3-[4-(3-oxomorpholin-4-yl)phenyl]-1,3-oxazolidin-5-yl]methyl]isoindole-1,3-dione is an intermediate of rivaroxaban. Rivaroxaban is used in adult patients undergoing elective hip or knee replacement to prevent venous thrombosis (VTE). It can also be used to prevent stroke and non central nervous system embolism in patients with non valvular atrial fibrillation, and reduce the risk of recurrence of coronary syndrome.
