Brief Introduction
Guanfacine hydrochloride is a central antihypertensive drug, and its pharmacological effect is similar to clonidine. It is a kind of center α 2 receptor activator, activation center α 2 receptors, reduce peripheral sympathetic activity, resulting in decreased blood pressure. The antihypertensive effect of this drug is weaker than that of clonidine. Therefore, the dose is 7 ~ 10 times higher than that of clonidine, and the sedative effect of pivot nervous system is also weak, and the action site may be different from that of clonidine.
