Brief Introduction
As a common organic synthesis intermediate, 4-fluorobenzenesulfonyl chloride is mainly used to protect hydroxyl and amino groups. Its effect is similar to that of p-toluenesulfonyl chloride. However, due to the strong electron absorption ability of fluorine atoms on the benzene ring, compared with the hydroxyl protected by p-toluenesulfonyl chloride after combining with hydroxyl, its departure ability is stronger, which is more conducive to the subsequent nucleophilic substitution reaction.
