2- (4- fluorophenyl) thiophene is an intermediate for the synthesis of cangreijing. The Canagliflozin, trade name Invokana, was the first approved sodium glucose co transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, which was approved by the US FDA in March 2013 for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Canagliflozin is one of the best clinical antidiabetic drugs in recent years. 2 - (4-fluorophenyl) thiophene is an important intermediate in the synthesis of this compound. 2- (4- fluorophenyl) thiophene is an important intermediate for the synthesis of antidiabetic drug Canagliflozin, so it is necessary to purify 2-, 4- fluorophenyl thiophene. It is a white solid at room temperature and a liquid at heating condition. Therefore, it is difficult to separate and purify. The traditional column chromatography separation method is cumbersome, time-consuming and not conducive to industrial production.
