Dim is an effective radioprotector and reliever by stimulating ATM driven DDR like responses and NF- κ B survival signal. 3,3 '- Diindolmethane can regulate signaling pathways, such as Akt and NF- κ B and FOXO 3 can inhibit tumor cell invasion, angiogenesis, proliferation and induce apoptosis. It can also inhibit estrogen induced gene expression and induce endoplasmic reticulum stress response. Dim can change estrogen metabolism and antagonize estrogen and androgen receptor activity.
