Antipyretic Analgesics

The antipyretic effect is similar to that of antipyretic and aminopyrine, but the analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects are slightly lower. When used together with barbital, the antipyretic effect can be enhanced, the action time can be prolonged, and the toxicity also increases. It has a relaxing effect on intestinal smooth muscle, and its effect is weaker than that of Papaver poppy, but four times that of aminopyrine. This product is rarely used alone. It is often combined with other antipyretic, analgesic and anti-inflammatory drugs to enhance the therapeutic effect. It also has synergistic effect with ephedrine and caffeine.

Pranoprofen (7), chemical name is α- Methyl-5h - [1] benzopyrano[ α， 3-b] pyridine-7-acetic acid is a non steroidal anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug developed by welfide company (formerly Jifu Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., now Mitsubishi pharmaceutical); Qianshou Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. developed it as an eye drops, which was listed in Japan under the trade name nifran in 1981; Among them, tablets and capsules are used for anti-inflammatory and analgesia of many diseases, such as chronic rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, low back pain, periarthritis of shoulder, neck shoulder wrist syndrome, periodontitis, gout, etc. they are also used for analgesia and anti-inflammatory after surgery, trauma and tooth extraction, as well as antipyretic and analgesia of acute upper respiratory tract infection; Eye drops can be used for the symptomatic treatment of external eyes and anterior eyes (blepharitis, conjunctivitis, keratitis, scleritis, superficial scleritis, iridocyclitis and postoperative inflammation), as well as the treatment of cataract, laser iridectomy, excimer laser subepithelial keratomileusis and dry eye.

Carprofen can be used to relieve pain in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, acute gout, extraarticular rheumatism, etc.

Sodium Salicylate is the sodium salt of salicylic acid. As a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), sodium salicylate irreversibly acetylates cyclooxygenases I and II, thereby inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis and associated inflammation and pain.
