Vinylmethyldimethoxysilane is an important organosilicon monomer. If it can be used as silane coupling agent, vinyl silane coupling agent can react with organic compounds to introduce new functional groups because of its double bond. It is a kind of silane product with wide application and large dosage, which is different from ordinary silane coupling agent. It is often used as surface treatment of glass fiber, inorganic filler, sealant, adhesive and tackifier. Methyl vinyl diethoxysilane can also be hydrolyzed to synthesize cyclic methyl vinyl siloxane, which is an important raw material for the production of methyl vinyl silicone rubber (VMQ).
