Brief Introduction
Sodium sildenate, also known as sodium fusaric acid and sodium fusillate, is a narrow-spectrum antibiotic with steroidal skeleton. It is a derivative of fusidic acid. It is white crystal or crystalline powder, odorless, bitter and slightly hygroscopic. It is easily soluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in chloroform and insoluble in copper propionate, ether and benzene. It was successfully developed by Leo pharmaceutical company of Denmark for the first time. Its trade name is ristine. It has strong tissue permeability. It is mainly metabolized in the liver and excreted by bile without being excreted by the kidney. It has low toxicity. It has bactericidal effect by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis. It has good antibacterial effect on Gram-positive bacteria and good drug resistance. At the same time, it is resistant to penicillin Methicillin and other antibiotic resistant strains are still sensitive to this product, and there is no cross resistance between sodium fuxidate and other antibiotics used clinically.
