The application and advantages of diatomite filter aid are far wider than those of perlite, activated carbon, acid clay, fiber filter cotton and other filter media, so it has good effect in improving filtration speed and clarity in solid-liquid separation.

Diatomite filter aid is a new type of high-efficiency powder filter medium produced and processed with diatomite as the basic raw material through continuous closed processing processes such as pretreatment, sorting, batching, calcination and classification. It can form a rigid lattice structure filter cake, which can make the fine particles in the pre filtration liquid into colloids, and the impurities are intercepted on the lattice skeleton. Therefore, it has good permeability and provides a porous filter cake structure, with a porosity of 85% - 95%, so that a high flow rate ratio can be obtained in the process of solid and liquid separation, and fine suspended solids can be filtered.

Diatomite filter aid has good chemical stability. Except for concentrated caustic solution, it can be reliably applied to the filtration of any liquid without pollution to the filtered liquid. It can be used satisfactorily on filter cloth, filter paper, wire mesh, porous ceramics and other media. It can obtain satisfactory filtering effect on various filters, and has incomparable advantages over other filter media (perlite, fiber cotton, etc.).
