Pyrrolidin-2-one is the simplest member of the class of pyrrolidin-2-ones, consisting of pyrrolidine in which the hydrogens at position 2 are replaced by an oxo group. The lactam arising by the formal intramolecular condensation of the amino and carboxy groups of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). It has a role as a polar solvent and a metabolite.This product is mainly used as solvent and organic synthesis intermediate. It can be used to manufacture nylon-4 and vinyl pyrrolidone.

This product is used as chromatographic reagent and also for organic synthesis. It is a permitted edible spice. It is mainly used for making banana, cream, whisky and cheese. It is also used as solvent and pigment diluent for extraction.

Acetonitrile is the simplest organic nitrile. It is colorless and transparent liquid at room temperature. It is very volatile. It has a special odor similar to ether. It is flammable and has a bright flame when burning. It is miscible with water, methanol, carbon tetrachloride, methyl acetate, ethyl acetate, dichloroethane and many unsaturated hydrocarbon solvents. It can be used as a solvent for the synthesis of vitamin A, cortisone, carboamine drugs and their intermediates. It can also be used as an active medium solvent for the manufacture of vitamin B1 and amino acids, and can replace chlorination solvent. Acetonitrile can also be used as extractant of fatty acid, alcohol denaturant, butadiene extractant and solvent of acrylonitrile synthetic fiber. It also has many uses in fabric dyeing, lighting industry, perfume manufacturing and photosensitive material manufacturing.

Tert-butanol is a kind of colorless oily liquid with strong alcohol smell, which is mainly used as organic solvent, chemical raw materials for the preparation of drugs and spices. In the field of agriculture, tert-butanol is an important intermediate of buprofezin, fenozide, tebufenozide, pyridaben and buprofezin.
