Polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) is a thermoplastic engineering polymer that is used as an insulator in the electrical and electronics industries.It is a thermoplastic (semi-)crystalline polymer, and a type of polyester. PBT is resistant to solvents, shrinks very little during forming, is mechanically strong, heat-resistant up to 150 °C (or 200 °C with glass-fibre reinforcement) and can be treated with flame retardants to make it noncombustible.

EPDM rubber is a rubber made by copolymerizing ethylene, propylene and the third monomer. It has excellent ozone resistance, weather resistance, heat resistance and low temperature resistance, excellent electrical insulation performance, and air permeability close to that of natural rubber. However, the self-adhesive, cold fluidity and processability are not as good as those of EPDM. It can be used to manufacture open and closed hole sponges of various hardness, gaskets on automobiles, glass sealing strips, radiator rubber pipes, bridge damping pads, sidewalls and inner tubes of tires, wire and cable covers, etc. it can also be used for heat-resistant transport belts, steam rubber pipes, damping pads and waterproof materials, as well as industrial products such as rubber accessories, building materials and valves for automobiles.
