Cation exchange resin is an ion exchange resin with acidic groups in its molecules. It can swell in water or polar solvents. The aqueous solution is acidic and can exchange its hydrogen ions or potassium and sodium ions with cations in the solution. According to the ionization constant of acidic active groups, they can be divided into strong acidity, medium acidity and weak acidity. The strong acid cation exchange resin contains sulfonic acid-so3h, and the medium acid cation exchange resin contains phosphoric acid-h2po4 or phosphonic acid-h2po3. Weakly acidic cation exchange resin contains carboxyl COOH or phenolic hydroxyl.
