Brief Introduction
P-methoxybenzaldehyde is a colorless to yellowish liquid with hawthorn like odor at room temperature. It is slightly soluble in propylene glycol and glycerin, and easily soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone and chloroform. It can volatilize with water vapor. In nature, it exists in fennel oil, fennel oil, dill oil, Acacia flower and vanilla extract, and is obtained by oxidation separation. The product has a long-lasting Hawthorn aroma. It is the main spice in Hawthorn flower, sunflower and lilac flavor. It is used as a fragrance agent in lily of the valley. It is used as a modifier in Osmanthus fragrans, and can also be used in daily flavors and food flavors. This product is a condiment which is temporarily permitted by GB2760-86 in China. It is mainly used to make vanilla, spices, apricot, cream, fennel, caramel, cherry, chocolate, walnut, raspberry, strawberry, peppermint and other flavors. With the essential oil of tangerine, the effect is very good. As an excellent brightener of de additive for cyanide free zinc plating, it can improve anodic polarization in a wide current range and obtain bright coating, creating favorable conditions for environmental protection. The pharmaceutical industry is used to manufacture antimicrobial drugs such as hydroxyaminobenzylpenicillin, which is the intermediate of antihistamine drugs.
