Spirotetramat is a quaternary ketone insecticide and acaricide, which blocks the energy metabolism of harmful mites by inhibiting lipid biosynthesis. It has gastric toxicity, contact killing and internal absorption (two-way conduction). It is effective for eggs and larvae, affects the fecundity of adults, and can be transmitted up and down in plants. Under normal technical conditions, it can effectively control citrus red spider, scale insect, citrus wood lice, tomato whitefly, apple tree aphid and pear wood lice.

Berberine, is an alkaloid found mainly in plants of the genus Berberis and Berberis. In application, it has antibacterial, antidiarrhoeal and anti-inflammatory effects. The molecular formula of berberine is C20H18NO4. berberine is a quaternary ammonium alkaloid. Yellow needle-like crystals can be precipitated from ether; melting point 145°C; it can be slowly dissolved in cold water (1:20) or cold ethanol (1:100), with greater solubility in hot water or hot ethanol, and is difficult to dissolve in benzene, ether and chloroform. The solubility of its salts in water is relatively small, for example, hydrochloride is 1:500, sulphate is 1:30.It is found in many plants such as Chinese medicine Huanglian, Huangbai, and three needles, etc. It can be extracted by acid-water method. It is extracted by several methods, such as acid-water method and lime milk method, which are reported on the internet.
