Brief Introduction
(2-bButyl-5-nitro-1-benzofuran-3-yl)-(4-hydroxyphenyl)methanone is an intermediate in the synthesis of dronedarone. Dronedarone is a multichannel blocker, which can inhibit Na, K and Ca ion channels at the same time, and also has B receptor antagonistic effect. It can produce antiarrhythmic effect by reducing the automaticity of sinoatrial node, slowing down conduction velocity, prolonging action potential duration and qt-qtc interval. The electrophysiological and hemodynamic characteristics of dronedarone were similar to those of amiodarone. Animal model studies have shown that dronedarone can prevent atrial fibrillation or convert atrial fibrillation to sinus rhythm, and can prevent ventricular tachycardia and ventricular fibrillation.
