This product is the intermediate of fluthiachlor. Fluthiachlor was discovered by Bayer crop science company and introduced at Britton Plant Protection Conference in 1995. The active ingredient belongs to aryloxyacetamide like fenacet, and has similar weed control spectrum with chloroacetamide herbicides. It can widely control annual gramineous weeds, sedge and some small grain broad-leaved weeds. Fluticachlor is mainly used for soil treatment, and can be used before and after bud.
