Among them, (R) - 2-THFC is an important intermediate in the synthesis of furopenem. It can be used as an antagonist of VLA-4 antigen and a chiral resolution agent of xofluza.（S) - 2-THFC is the main raw material for the preparation of chiral auxiliary (S) - acetyltetrahydrofuran, the raw material for the preparation of cephalosporin antibiotics intermediates, and the important intermediate for the preparation of hormone releasing hormone LHRH.
