Sodium methylsulfonate has good chemical stability and is stable to acids, alkalis, and hard water. It has excellent cleaning, foaming, and dispersing properties and is used as a dispersant, detergent, emulsifier, and foaming agent. It is gentle on the skin and can be widely added to bath products, shampoo, and toothpaste.
