Acetylacetone
【Product name】
Acetylacetone
【Property of Acetylacetone】
Colorless or light yellow, easy flowing transparent liquid.
【Main application of Acetylacetone】
It has wide applications.
1. Mainly used in the synthesis of pharmacy and intermediates;
2. Used in the synthesizing of veterinary medicine and feed additives;
3. Used as the additive for solvent of cellulose acetate, for gasoline and lubricating oil and binding material for electroplating.
4. Analyzing reagent.
【Package of Acetylacetone】
With special characters, it can be reacted with metal oxide to form complex and soluble in acetylacetoneto generate color. Therefore it should not be packed in metal drum but in reinforced polypropylene drum.
The drum shall only be used after washed (with water then acetone), dried and pressure tested. It is packed in fixed dosage and secured with the cover of anti-thief and rainproof.

    Acetylacetone is a colorless to light yellow transparent liquid, which is usually a mixture of enol and keto tautomers. The two tautomers are in dynamic equilibrium, with keto form accounting for about 18% and enol form accounting for 82%. Acetylacetone is soluble in water, ethanol, benzene, chloroform, ether, acetone, ethyl acetate and glacial acetic acid. Acetylacetone is an important intermediate in organic synthesis, which is widely used in pharmaceutical, perfume, pesticide and other industries. Acetylacetone is an important raw material in pharmaceutical industry, such as the synthesis of 4,6-dimethylpyrimidine derivatives. Acetylacetone is also used as a solvent for cellulose acetate, a desiccant for paints and varnishes, an additive for fuel oil and lubricating oil, a catalyst, a resin crosslinker, a resin curing accelerator, and an important organic solvent and analytical reagent. Acetylacetone can chelate with cobalt (Ⅱ), cobalt (Ⅲ), beryllium, aluminum, chromium, iron (Ⅱ), copper and other metal ions due to the presence of enol. Acetylacetone can be used as a metal cleaning agent in micropores by its chelation with metal.
