Sodium benzenesulfonate is an intermediate for the preparation of chrysanthemic acid by Martel method, and can also be used as a photo reducing agent. This product is also used as a primary brightener for bright nickel plating, which can significantly reduce the grain size of nickel plating layer, make the coating bright and have good ductility. It can also be used as polymer adhesive reinforcing agent and plasticizer for plasticizing and modifying polyamide, epoxy resin and phenolic resin.
