Posaconazole

Posaconazole is derived from itraconazole, which can effectively prevent invasive fungal infection. At present, phase III clinical trial is under way. The pharmacological action is the same as that of azole drugs, but compared with itraconazole, it has stronger inhibitory effect on sterol C14 demethylation, especially on Aspergillus.
