Chemical properties:

Hard glass transparent or translucent particles, with an average particle size of about 5mm. It has the characteristics of porous and large specific surface area. It has strong adsorption on water vapor at low relative humidity. It has selective adsorption for some harmful substances in the medium. Because it is spherical, the surface is smooth, the mechanical strength is high, it is not easy to break and the resistance is small. Insoluble in water and inorganic acids (except hydrofluoric acid), soluble in caustic solution.

Usage:

Used as reinforcing filler of natural rubber and synthetic rubber, filler of synthetic resin, ink thickener, anti sedimentation agent of pigment in coating, matting agent, soft polishing agent of vehicle and metal, and anti sedimentation agent in emulsifier. It can also be used as a filler for pesticide carrier and lightweight newsprint.

Properties

Silica is the most abundant of all minerals. Silica in nature is called silica, which accounts for about 12% of the total weight of the earth's crust. There are three different crystal forms of silica: quartz, scaly quartz and cristobalite. Quartz is the most stable at room temperature and the other two are stable at high temperature. They also exist at room temperature because of their slow transformation into quartz.
