Mesitylene can be used as raw material for preparing mesitylenoic acid, antioxidant, curing agent of epoxy resin, stabilizer of polyester resin, plasticizer of alkyd resin, solvent for preparing THF,intermediate of 2,4,6-trimethylaniline 88-05-1.

The company, formerly known as the refinery of Sinopec Jinling Petrochemical Company, was established in 1958 and restructured in January 2008 to establish Nanjing Refinery Co., Ltd.
