Uses
In the pesticide industry: 2-Aminophenol as an agricultural intermediate for the production of the insecticide phosphorothioate and other organophosphorus insecticidal and acaricidal agents; Herbicide oxazoline and so on. It is used in cotton, rice, fruit trees, vegetables and other crops to control P. xylostella, P. campestris and P. campestris.
In the fluorescent brightener industry: 2-Aminophenol is the raw material for the synthesis of fluorescent whitening agent EBF. This kind of fluorescent whitening agent can be used for the whitening of polyester fiber.
