Uses

Precursor for synthesizing titanium dioxide (TiO2): Tetraisopropyl titanate is a commonly used precursor for producing TiO2, which is a white pigment used in paints, coatings, and plastics. It is also used to manufacture photocatalysts, solar cells, and other materials.

Catalysis: Tetraisopropyl titanate can be used as a catalyst for various chemical reactions, including esterification, transesterification and oxidation. Isopropyl titanium is also used in the production of polyolefins and other polymers. Tetraisopropoxytitanium can be used for esterification and transesterification of acrylic acid and other esters, as well as polymerization of epoxy resin, phenolic plastic, silicone resin, polybutadiene, polypropylene and polyethylene.

Surface modification: Tetraisopropyl titanate can be used for surface modification of materials such as glass and metal, improving their adhesion and surface properties. Isopropyloxy titanium promotes the adhesion between the coating and the substrate surface, improves the dispersion coloring effect, and improves the corrosion resistance of the coating.

Crosslinking agent: Tetraisopropyl titanate can be used to crosslink various polymers or resin adhesives.

Nanotechnology: Tetraisopropyl titanate is used for the production of nanoparticles and nanotubes, and has wide applications in electronics, biomedical, and other fields.
